Highlights for November 10 - 14, 2008 Highlights for This Week Monday: ELA: Vocabulary: We will review for Thursday's test; new stems will be distributed today. Grammar: Verbs and all their forms; Literature: "Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady" (pages 824 - 830) Social Studies: We will begin studying China in the late 1800s (Chapter 20, section 2) Tuesday: ELA: Vocabulary; We will continue reviewing our terms and stems; more verbs and tenses-- correct usaga; Literature: the elements of the short story; SS: More about China and the Quinq dynasty (fun times, huh!) Wednesday: ELA: Vocabulary drill with new terms; stem review; Grammar: verb forms and how to use them correctly; Literature: continuing with "The Loathly Lady" (I love this story!) Social Studies: The Chinese saga continues Thursday: ELA: Vocabulary test; stem review; Grammar: more drill with those verb forms; Literature: "Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady" Social Studies: a view of Hong Kong Friday: ELA: New terms will be distributed; Grammar: Verbs and their forms again; Literature: continuing with "Sir Gawain..."
