Instructional Focus: Checking Validity and Accuracy of Information Across the Text:

Strong vs. Weak Argument

This week we will examine and discuss the persuasive and propaganda techniques used in magazine advertisements and television commercials. The class will analyze specific examples of persuasive techniques.

Homework

- Choose 3 Television Commercials. Identify the persuasive techniques used in each advertisement. Explain the effectiveness of each technique.
