Weekly Vocabulary Words & Meanings:

SET: Introduce spelling words and pattern, check agendas for signatures & weekly spelling words, play game of “Spell-O” after preparing game board with weekly words

SET: Make KWL chart about “Planets”, write on board: “My Very Educated Mother Just Scorched Uncle Ned's Pants” & have students write in vertically on paper--discuss that the first letter of each word is an “acronym” for the planets, List the planets beside each word underlining the first letter, read a book about the planets to the class

CLOSURE: Recite as many planets as possible to the class

SET: Review “language study guide”, textbook pgs. 77 & 87 orally, Noun review class sheet,
