The natives are studying the following: 1.) Addition & Subtraction using counters, pictures, and Touch Points 2.) Numbers - Counting by 1's, 5's and 10's from 1 to 100, Writing #'s 1 - 50, Reading # words 1 - 20 3.) Reading -- Fundations - Letters, Sounds, Digraphs, Fluency, and Comprehension 4.) Skills Practice -- Digraphs, Blends, Contractions, Compound Words, and High Frequency Words 5.) Calendar Concepts: Days of the week, Months of the year, Seasons, and Weather 6.) Writing -- Sequencing pictures to create a story (1st, Next, Then, and Last); Sequencing words to create a sentence; and Utilizing phonemic skills to sound the words we wish to use in our writing |
