MATH

This week in math, we will:

  • learn how to subtract tens using basic facts
  • model counting back tens and ones from two digit numbers
  • model regrouping and non regrouping subtraction problems

Parent Conferences will be held Monday, Nov. 3, from 3:00 until 7:00.  Please stop by to talk with me about your child's progress. You may pick up your child's report card at this time, also.

There is no school on Tuesday, 11/4/08, because of election day.  Please try to be sure that the children get plenty of rest this week because of the CogAT Testing. The test is a standardized test that is given to all second graders. The tests will be given this week and the beginning of next week. The tests will only last about 45 minutes to an hour each day.

Reminders:

If you ordered cookie dough through our fundraiser, please stop by the school to pick it up.

Please be sure to send the picture proofs or the money back by Friday, 11/7/08.

Veteran's Day--November 11  Please remember all our service men and women who have served our country or are serving our country at this time.  A big thank you goes to all of those brave men and women.
