Learning Corner
 
Reading: We are working on Book and Print Awareness skills in class. Please make sure that your child is pointing to the words when you read to them.

 
Math: We will be learing about numbers 1-5, sorting, patterns and positional words.

 
Writing: Your child will need to be able to write and read their first and last name by the end of the second quarter. Please have them practice writing their name at home. We have also began having the children start to "write". At this point in the year we would like for the children to draw a picture and be able to label their pictures.

 
Thank you so much for you notes and concerns, please feel free to write a note anytime you have a question. Also, I will be glad to set up a confrence anytime you would like. You can reach me at

Parent's Corner
 
Please sign the agendas every night. Help your child write their first and last name and the letters that we are studying. Also, please send in Baby Wipes and Glue Sticks anytime that you can.


 

 
Behavior
Plan
 
North Rowan Elementary School has chosen to use a school-wide behavior plan this year. Each day your child will start on the color green. They can earn or lose colors and points for their behavior. Please look below for a list of colors and meanings.
 
Purple: Fantastic
Black: Super
Blue: Great
Green: Good
Yellow: Warning
Orange: Time Out
Red: Office
