Osprey 6/7/8 Parents & Students -

          We have officially moved to MyGradePortal.com - come on over to FMS and pick up your child's log-in name and password, so that you can review their grades on a more frequent basis.

           Congratulations to Travis C, Kyle K, Riley F, Kati H, John C, Sydney E, Fabio F, Mimi B, Lailee B, Mason K, Madison W and TJ W for making the Math Field Day team. We will hold our first practice on Friday morning in my classroom (room #204). Competition will be Saturday morning, November 21st at Landon Middle School. Bus will be departing the 18th Ave bus loop at 7:15am that morning.

          **We have also secured a block of 140 tickets to go see the Broadway musical "Hairspray," on March 16th - DUE DATE for money will be Friday, November 13th**

          **The "Light the Night" walk was a TRUE success - thank you to ALL of the families that participated that night and/or donated to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. It was a very exciting night and I am already looking forward to next year's walk!**

          I have come across an EXCELLENT resource for free, nightly homework help, 7 days a week between 4pm and 9pm. All your son/daughter needs is a current library card. Step 1 - Visit http://jpl.coj.net Step 2 - Click on the "For Teens" section, which is on the bottom right in orange. Step 3 - Under the section "Student Research," click on "Homework Help." Step 4 - Click on "LIVE Homework Help" and you'll be connected to a free, online tutor. There is even an interactive, whiteboard program if the student needs to 'draw out' their Math problem. Talk about an awesome tool for students at home!?
