Community Based Instruction refers to training that takes place in the actual environment where the skills will ultimately be preformed. This ensures that students will practice the skills and activities under realistic conditions and the actual demands of the natural setting. Community Based Instruction is predicated on the belief that all persons regardless of disability have the right to a comprehensive and appropriate education that will maximize their potential.
