Mr. Peters has started a wish list. Here are a few of the items he needs:

We would greatly appreciate the donations of single wrapped medications and first aid kit supplies.(Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, Excedrin, Bandaids, Neosporin etc..)

Beginning Band-
All students will need the following items:
1. Notebook/ Binder with sheet protectors
2. Pencils
3. Band Expressions Book#1 for your instrument
(Purchased from FMS Band)
4. Instrument- Please contact a local music store such as Music and Arts Centers to rent an instrument, or large instruments such as Tuba or Euphonium may be rented from FMS Band for $25 during the Summer and $50 for the school year.
5. Smart Music Computer Software Program- Purchased from FMS Band
6. Instrument Care Kit and Wire Music Stand (bought seperately from Music Store)
OR
7. Instrument Starter Kit that includes wire stand and care kit with name tag for instrument and coupon book.
8. FMS Band Polo Shirt- Purchased from FMS Band
9. Black Pants for Boys and either Black Pants or a Black Skirt for Girls. Black Dress Shoes (No Flip Flops or Sandals)
*All Clarinet Students will need to also have:
1. Rovner Ligature
2. Box of 10 Vadoren 2 1/2 Reeds ($20)
*All Saxophone Students will need to also have:
1. Rovner Ligature
2. Box of 10 (or 2 boxes of 5 for Tenor Sax)
Vandoren 2 1/2 Reeds ($25 for Alto and $17 for Tenor)
3. Neck Strap if one is not included in your case with your instrument.
*All Students that Rent a Brass Instrument from FMS will need to purchase your own mouthpiece. Prices range from $20-$60 depending on the instrument.
*All Percussion Students will need to also have:
1. Stick Bag with the following items-
**1 Pair of Yarn Mallets
**1 Pair of Rubber Mallets
**1 Pair of Hard Plastic Mallets
**1 Pair of Brass Bell Mallets
**1 Pair of General Timpani Mallets
2. 1 Pair of Snare Drum Sticks (Usually Comes with Snare Drum Kit)
3. Percussion Students may either have a Snare Drum and Bell Kit Combo or a Bell Kit with a Practice Pad as their instrument that they rent.

Concert Band-
All Concert Band Students will need the following:
1. Notebook/ Binder with sheet protectors
2. Pencils
3. Band Expressions Book #2
4. Foundations for Superior Performance Book
5. Smart Music Computer Software Program- Purchased from FMS Band
6.FMS Band Polo Shirt
7. Flip Book and Lyre (for Football Games)
8. Uniform
Boys- Black Tuxedo Pants and White Tuxedo Shirt (We will place one big order in August), Black Dress Shoes and socks.
Girls- Black Skirt (must be ordered through the band), White Tuxedo Shirt (We will place an order in August), Natural Hosiery, Black Dress Shoes
*Cumberbund and Bow Ties will be provided by the Band.

Symphonic Band-
All Symphonic Band Students will need the following:

We have a new way of raising money for the band! Whenever you do an internet search for anything, please go to the following website to do your search:
www.goodsearch.com
Once at this site, type  "Fletcher Middle School Band"
where it says "Who do you search for?" Then, click on "verify". Then type in your search as you normally would. This search engine is powered by Yahoo. We receive money for every search made when you type in our organization. What an easy way to raise money for our band program and it doesn't cost anything for us to do it!
