School Supplies Needed

  • A three ring binder (1 ½ inch) and five dividers.
  • Pens (blue or black) and pencils for Scantron tests
  • Notebook paper

Monday/January 5, 2009

Objective

 

The student will:

1.  Talk about responsibilities

2. Complain about responsibilities

Class Starter

1. Take roll while students locate their binders

Teacher Activities

  1.  Guide students through binder clean out, so that students keep the needed components in their binder and throw out unnecessary components.


  2. Check that each student has Chpt. 3, Segundo Paso Vocabulary copied in their binder.


  3. Model correct pronunciation of vocabulary words for students.  


  4. Provide each student with a word search and go over instructions for the word search.

Student Activities

  1. Clean out Spanish binder.


  2. Recite vocabulary in unison to practice pronunciation.


  3. Complete word search over new vocabulary words.

Teacher Activities

  • 1. Allow time for the completion of the word search if needed.
  • 2. Model the correct pronunciation of vocabulary words and provide the English definition of each word.

    3. Using the vocabulary transparency have students practice the new vocabulary words.

    4, Assign groups of 3, assign each group a room of the house and have students create an illustration of the room’s layout.  Once layouts are finished call out activities and have students raise their drawing and say the name of the room.

    5. Remind students they will have a vocabulary quiz on Friday.

    1. Complete word search and turn in.

    2. Recite vocabulary in unison to practice pronunciation.

    3. Illustrate the assigned room of a house in groups to practice vocabulary
