Classroom Soundtrack
Assignment You will submit a typed refection on a song from your own life “soundtrack”. Imagine if your life was a movie, what would be the lead song on your soundtrack?
1. Select one song that is meaningful to you. This song represents something that you value or believe, or one that reflects a time or memory in your life. 2. Transcribe the words to the song, cite the title, name of author and singer, name of album and the year it was recorded. 3. Using a minimum of 4 paragraphs, from your point of view, interpret the meaning of the song. a. Each paragraph should have a minimum of 5 sentences: one intro, three info, one closing b. Paragraphs : i. Introduce the name of the song and the artist. ii. Explain in your own words, what is the theme or message the artist is trying to convey? iii. How does the theme or message relate to your life? iv. Why is it meaningful or important to you? (ex. Why did you chose it, why should anybody care?) Assessment · Use your rating scale as a check list to ensure you are meeting the criteria. · Be mindful of the word choice of your songs. Inappropriate language or content is not acceptable.
