Welcome to Mrs. Hunt's

Anthony
Allysa

We finished up the first quarter with a bang!  We are moving right along.  I cannot believe that we are moving into the holiday season and the second quarter.  As we move through the holiday season, please remind your child to be on his/her best behavior each day.  We will be doing lots of special activities if their behavior will allow it!

I am very proud of the progress that everyone is making in their writing.  As I stressed in our parent conference, I now want students to stretch out the words that they are writing and to write all the sounds that they hear in that word...not just the beginning.  Please work with your child on this at home.

Please read with/to your child each night.  Reading builds fluency.  The more familiar that a child becomes with the words he/she knows or does not know, the better reader he/she will become.  **Remember to write down 2 books per week that your child reads on the Reading Log located in the back of your child's notebook.

Our class will be hosting our annual "Thanksgiving Feast" on Monday, November 23rd at 1:15 pm.  You are invited to come.  For this feast, the children will be dressed up as Native Americans.  This is a fun day for them, and you are invited to join us.
