Hello kindergartners and families! Welcome to our kindergarten webpage! Our webpage is a great way for families to access information about our class.



We are off to a great start this year. We have been very busy acclimating ourselves to our classroom and school. Children are beginning to learn the classroom routines and expectations.



We have begun our language arts program which includes letter and sound identification, as well as rhyming recognition and production. These are essential pre-reading skills.



Math activities include many hands-on activiites that allow children to learn math skills in a very real life manner. Activities include children building and manipulating shapes and learning to measure with standard and non-standard units of measurement.



Science activities for the year revolve around the investigation of and the caring for live animals. Throughout the year we introduce new animals to the science center. Soon, we will be studying goldfish and guppies. We will learn about the structures of fish and study their behaviors.



For the months of September/October we will be focusing on an All About Me unit. We will be learning about each other and our families. Our projects and classwork will revolve around this theme.
