The first payment of the field trip payment to Myrtle Beach on April 27th is Wednesday, November 16th.  Please send in $15.00 to reserve your child's seat on the bus. The total cost is $90.00.  Please ask your child about the two letters sent home regarding this field trip. You can also pay online.

Thursday- Science composition book will be graded Friday in class. Make sure pages 36-47 are completed and make sure your science starter for class is complete.

This week the students are learning about convection currents, and density . We are continuing to review the Earth's layers.  

Monday- Venn Diagram- Asthenosphere and Lithosphere, inner and outer core

Tuesday- Worksheet on the Earth's interior- Students should be studying the foldable on EArth's layers.

October 3rd-October 7th

This week we have focused on how to read a science textbook.  The students have read pages 143-149 and worked in groups writing the main idea in a few words.

Monday- Interims went home- Please get signed

Tuesday- Read the main ideas from the textbook (Cornell Notes Style) done in class.  iT SHOULD BE GLUED IN AS PAGE 36.

Wednesday- In class we will be making a foldable.

September 19-23

Tuesday- MAJOR TEST THURSDAY ...finish review sheet for test (2 page notes) The test is 24 questions multiple choice.  Quizzes were returned in class today. Please ask your child to see their quiz.  It should be glued in their compositon book page 33.

Students should correct quizzes on page 32 in their composition book. We discussed answers today.

Monday- Study for test Thursday

September 16th

Friday- QUIZ MONDAY on Scientific method vocabulary p. 16, 17, M&M lab and complete classwork from class today.  Cut out and match definitions on front right page and write the definition in the squares on the second sheet on right page and list the steps to the scientific method. Also complete the quantitative and qualitative observation on left side page.
