Math

Knowledge of basic facts would help your child tremendously.  Please continue to work with your child on learning or reviewing their basic facts!
Our focus in math has been on place value, adding and subtracting, and rounding.  Next we will be working on multiplication basic facts as well as larger 2 digit by 2 digit and 2 digit by 3 digit multiplication!

The Dollar Tree sells flashcards for $1!

We are working on place value, comparing and ordering numbers, and rounding numbers for the first couple weeks of school.  We will work on numbers up to the millions!

Writing
We will continue to use the writer's workshop model to teach writing.  Ask your child about what they are writing each day.  See Mrs. Troutman's website for more information.

SCIENCE
We are beginning our unit on Animal Adaptations.  Please see Mrs. Troutman's website for more information.

Social Studies
We are taking a break to learn about animals in Science now.  See Mrs. Troutman's website for more details.

Donations
Donations are always appreciated. Our class can always use pencils, notebook paper, index cards (any size, any color), erasers, tissues, white board markers, pencil sharpeners, or anything else that you would like to give.
