Parents: You are one of the absolute greatest assets in your child's educational process if you will help in the following ways ..... 1. Have your child at school each day. It is very stressful on them to try and do make up work while doing current assignments. 2. Please check with them each day to see that homework has been completed. The number one reason students fail my class is the failure to turn in homework. 3. Stay in touch with all of your child's teachers. All of us welcome contact to inquire about a student's progress.

DATE OF THE NEXT:

PLEASE SEND ME A RETURN EMAIL TO LET ME KNOW WE ARE CONNECTED. THANKS!

Well ... the kids all wanted snow days and they got them. Of course this means we will probably be making up days during Spring Break, but there has been no official word on that yet. We do know that 2/15 is the day we will use to make up 1/25, when schools were closed due to flooding around the county. That leaves us 3 more make-up days to schedule.

Please be sure to ask your student if they turned in all the documents I sent home that required a signature. Those were homework assignments and some students are not getting off to a great start. The documents were: Expectations, Lab Safety Contract, and the Student Info Sheet. If you drop me an email I can let you know where your student stands.

I have now entered every email address students returned to me so that every time I update this page you will get an email advising you to check out the page. Over the past several years, I have found email is the quickest form of communication. I still like face-to-face meetings, if necessary, but I know the strain on everyone's time.

I look forward to your child being successful this semester, and together we can make it happen. Please do not hesitate to contact if you have any questions about anything.

God bless!
