Parent meetings can be scheduled any school day between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, with advanced notice. I can also be available most days before or after school, again with notice. You may reach me by calling the school at (704)857-1161 and dialing extension 106 to leave me a message, or sending me an e-mail using the link above.

Parents: You are one of the absolute greatest assets in your child's educational process if you will help in the following ways ..... 1. Have your child at school each day. It is very stressful on them to try and do make up work while doing current assignments. 2. Please check with them each day to see that homework has been completed. The number one reason students fail my class is the failure to turn in homework. 3. Stay in touch with all of your child's teachers. We welcome contact to inquire about a student's progress.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and restful Christmas break .... but now it's back to the grind to finish out this semester!

Students were given an idea today of the remainder of the semester. The last big assignment will be the research paper on a planet. It will be assigned on 1/6 and they will have all class period to work on it. Please help me keep them honest by not allowing them to gather any info from the internet. This a 2 page paper to be done the old-fashioned way ... BOOKS.

The exam schedule for my class will be as follows: 

Wednesday, 1/14 - 1st block exam at 7:30 AM followed by 2nd block review session from 11 AM - 1 PM.           Thursday, 1/15 - 2nd block exam at 7:30 AM followed by 3rd block review from 11 AM - 1 PM.                             Friday, 1/16 - 3rd block exam. 

As far as students being exempt from my exam .... I will be able to advise them early next week after all gradeing has been completed. If your child has missed more than 3 days, you know for sure they have not exempted my exam.

Regarding absences ... There is nothing more to be said. If students are not getting the time made up, they are about out of time.
