1.2
explain

Our Word of the week is to EXPLAIN. What do you do if you have to explain something? You would make something very clear or understandable. When you explain, you want to add lots of details so that your listener or reader can clearly understand what you’re talking about. Did I explain that well?

Or, why not formulate a plan to get 4’s on all of your EOGs!!
verb

1.16
imply

IMPLY, that’s our Word this week! It means to suggest without directly stating. Consider this scenario: Are you going to the dance? Do you have a ride to the dance? My dad is driving me in a limo. There is still space. … What is he implying? He wants her to ride with him in the limo to the dance! How sweet!

This week’s word is INFER which means to come to a conclusion based on detailed information or to make an educated guess about something. It’s having to figure out the answer in your head. For example, if your friend goes in the house to ask their mother if they can go to the mall with you, and your friend comes out of the house with a frown on his face, you can INFER that he can’t go even though you didn’t hear the mother say no.

The Word of the Week is IRREVELANT, which means not important. Notice the “ir” prefix, which means “not.” Now, can you determine what relevant means, without the prefix “ ir”? You just learned 2 words in one! Irrelevant means not important and relevant means important.
