11-16-09



1st period -

Ag Education I- Heizer Freshman High School

This class is an introduction into Leadership and the FFA. Students will learn the social and personal skills necessary to become productive members of our society. Parli Pro, Public Speaking, Marketing, and FFA knowledge are the major components of the curriculum.

Scope and Sequence- ASL V- A1-4 .  The students in this class are working on the test bank for the FFA District Quiz contest. All students will report to the Computer Tech Lab and long into their "H" file. Every student has been assigned a block of questions to complete by Friday.


2nd period- Advisory, Travel

3rd period- - Ag Tech Lab and SAE

This class is designed around the DEPCO Agriculture Tech Lab program. The students are rotating around the different programs. This semester the students will rotate around to different CDE contest area's.

The students in this class are going to work on their specific labs, this means both tech lab and SAE. The students are working in groups of two and are required to spend atleast 5 minutes each day working on their Journals. The two boys in Advanced Tech Lab are to clean and orginize the tool room and shop.


4th period- Tech Welding

This class is general education shop class. The objective of this class is to introduce the students to career's and skills in the area of arc welding, ace/welding and cutting, Mig and Tig welding, plasma cutting, wood construction, and engine maintenance.

Scope and Sequence- AGT IV- C.1-5 

The students in this class will watch the video "Performing the  SMAW 5G Weld Test" . This video will last 26 minutes. Students are to set in the class and take notes over the video. After video give the students 5 minutes to study their notes and then give the 5 G quiz. Video's and quizes are located on my round table in my Tech Lab class.

After 10 minutes hand out the quiz and the anwer sheet. The students will have 35 minutes to complete the quiz, have the students trade quizes and they will grade each others and fill in correct answers.

1st period -

Scope and Sequence- ASL V- A1-4.

Todays tests are in the Hiezer front office.

 The students in this class are working on the test bank for the FFA District Quiz contest. All students will report to class and begin studying for the test they will have at 8:40 am. Have all students clear their desks, seperate from each other and hand out the test that is located at the Heizer front office. The students are not to talk during the  test, they will bring the test to you once they are finished and will pick up another students test to grade. They will turn in the graded papers to you and begin studying for Fridays test.

The students in this class are going to work on their specific labs, after they watch the video " Pork- Quality Assurance", they are to watch " Injection techniques for Swine", Medication Handiling and Storage" and Swine Handling for Pork Production"  this means both tech lab and SAE. The students are working in groups of two and are required to spend atleast  5 minutes at the end of the class cleaning their lab stations. The two boys in Advanced Tech Lab are to clean and orginize the tool room and shop, after the video.
The video's for today are located on the round classroom table by my desk.

and show it to the class. At the end of the class if time allows, let the students take one safty test of their choise. The students who are in the shop will be allowed to clean the shop only. NO WELDING.
