Welcome to

What's happening on

 Planet Fessler ...

Welcome to Third Grade!

Welcome to a brand new year!  2010 will be a year full of learning!

It is so very important that your child make every effort to attend school daily during this  time of year.  Each day missed is a missed day of instruction.  It will be very difficult for your child to "make up" the missed time.  I will regularly update this website with upcoming events and assignments for my class. There will be homework often, so be ready for that!

Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have.

As a general rule, we will have homework Monday -Thursday nights.  Spelling homework will be assigned Monday through Wednesday, with Thursday night being a "study night" for the test on Friday.  Math homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday nights.  It is also expected that your child read at home for 15 minutes each night.

Our class will be working on many new topics this month.  We will be working on measurement in math.  Please give your child opportunities to use a ruler to measure common objects.  In science, we will adventure into the solar system.

Our daily schedule is:

7:45-8:00  Morning work

8:00-8:15  Announcements

8:15-9:15  Literacy

9:15-10:00  Enhancements

2:00-2:30 DEAR

Let's make this a fabulous year for your third grader!

I will challenge my students to reach
just beyond that point where they are comfortable,
so they will discover that their own perceptions
of their potential are not their true limits.
