Math:  Unit 4                  Students have been given a multiplication facts sheet.

                                    Pop tests on multiplication facts may be given at any time!

 

Social Studies:  Colonial America

 

Science: electricity

 

Reading:  Selection “On the Pampas” pages307-321.  The focus skill will be summarizing.  The vocabulary words are on page 306.    test – Friday (comprehension, focus skill, and vocabulary)  

 

Spelling: Words are on the pretest   Enrichment words are extra credit.  Test – Thursday 

 

Writing Block: personal narrative, friendly letter  

Reminders:

           

Ø       Your child needs at least 4 AR points by the end of October to receive a free Pizza Hut personal pan pizza.

Ø       Please remember that Activity Fee ($5) is due as soon as possible.

Ø       If your child is to go home a different way at any time, please remember we must have a note.

Ø       The newsletter will be posted on Schoolnotes.

Ø       At the beginning of each nine weeks, your child is given a 100 for a homework grade in reading and math.  Five points will be deducted from the subject each time your child fails to turn in homework on time.
