Friday, Nov. 20:  Students have been given another packet of practice math word problems.  The full solutions are included at the end of the packet so students can check their work.  This packet won't be graded, but many students can benefit from the extra review.

Content/Skills:  Speed, Velocity, Acceleration, Calculating Motion, Graphing Motion

Be able to:

·       Describe an objects motion in terms of speed, velocity, acceleration.

·       Calculate the average speed of an object.

·       Distinguish between instantaneous speed and average speed of an object.

·       Distinguish between scalar and vector quantities (speed vs. velocity and acceleration).

·       Solve word problems using the velocity and acceleration formulas – you must know the formulas!

·       Create and interpret distance vs. time graphs and speed vs. time graphs for objects moving at constant and variable speeds.
