November is Career Education Month.  6th and 7th grade will be using SCOIS to take interest inventories and explore various career clusters. 

• Our topic for November is Perseverance.  Persevarnace means to continue doing something despite obstacles or opposition.

DUKE TIP has extended the deadlines for students requesting January SAT or February ACT test dates.  Online applications must be fully completed by December 3, 2008.  Paper applications must be postmarked by November 17, 2008.

All 8th Grade students will take the ACT EXPLORE on Monday, November 10, 2008.  EXPLORE is a curriculum based assessment program designed to help 8th and 9th grade students gain an understanding of their readiness for college and guide them in future education and career planning.
