Immaculate Conception School

 May 21st to 24th   

Some reminders:

*Division Drills - The first division drill was given and returned last week so that you could see your third grader's progress and begin concentrating on the facts which need more review.  

Also, students have been assigned the multiplication and division facts review on the xtramath website.  Practice makes perfect!   

Students should be studying and relating multiplication with division.  Mastery of facts depends on regular practice and must be achieved by the end of third grade before fourth grade begins.

* Cursive handwriting - Please encourage this at home.  Our practice and study continues each week.  We are writing more frequently in cursive as we keep practicing letters in isolation each week.  One example of how we are picking up the pace with cursive is that our spelling words are written each week in cursive as well as in print.  

Students are working to improve their cursive letters and flow of letters inside of words so that they can earn their cursive licenses at the end of the year!

*Extra Practice Websites - Students should be encouraged to practice their spelling words each week on spellingcity.com even though it is not actual assigned homework –remember to log on using your username and password.

Third graders should be logging onto Razkids.com with the usernames and passwords that were given in the homework folder.  If the level of books is too easy or too hard on the Razkids site, please let Ms. P know so that it can be changed.

*Parents, please take a few minutes to check homework planners to monitor assignments.  Remember that if an assignment is not completed, there will be a notation "ND" for not done written next to the circled assignment in the planner.  The missed assignment should be completed for the following day.

3) Reading - WB page 123 #1-4 and answer #5 in your NB.  test tomorrow on The Extra Good Sunday and visualizing  

Reminders: 

-Study for Religion June 5th final- use the study guide. 

-Fill out PATHS paper for tomorrow.
