Quick update (I didn't update the academics below) -- for students in 6-5 -- I sent home a note on salmon colored paper yesterday (with info from the school on the other side) -- please ask your child for it -- it includes info about the Family Mass tomorrow, PE and Mass on Monday, Confirmation reception info, math and social studies assignments, etc.

I will update the academic info tomorrow!

Math 7 -- We are studying Chapter 2 -- Intro to Algebra

                          Chapter 2, Sect. 4-10 Quiz -- Wed., Oct. 20

Math 6 -- We are studying Chapter 2 -- Decimals

                           Chapter 2, Sect. 4-11 Quiz -- Wed., Oct. 27

Social Studies --We are studying Chapter 2 -- Fertile Crescent

                    Cuneiform Writing Project -- due Tues., Oct. 26

For the 2010-2011 school year, I have a 6th grade homeroom and teach 6th grade Social Studies and Math, 7th grade Math , and 8th Grade Algebra and Pre-algebra.

I hope that Schoolnotes will be helpful to my students and their parents. I will not write daily assignments down but will have information about what we are studying weekly, dates for quizzes, tests, and projects. I will also include information for upcoming 6th grade activities as well as school activities.



Math redos are encouraged on tests to help improve understanding of concepts (and grades!)for Math 6, Math 7, Pre-algebra, and Algebra.
