November 4, 2010 Homework 

1.  Math -- study, chapt. 2 test, Tues., Nov, 9th; handout. 

2.  Reading -- handout, use graphic outline for this week's articles (1 outline for all 4 short articles)....preparing for 1st book report (due Mon., Nov. 22nd)

** American Math Challenge:  highest score per class will get an out of uniform day and free ice cream pass!  Results should be announced Wed., Nov. 3rd..

**Parents, the plant/animal cell Science projects are awsome!  The 4th grade students' creative juices were truely overflowing.  Parents please feel free to view the projects in the 4th grade class and in the school loby.

** starting 2nd quarter (Mon., Nov. 1st), 4th grade is required to use cursive writing in Language and Spelling.

 ** Book reports won't start until end of November.....still working on sentence structure.

** hand held pencil sharpeners with shaving holders attached no longer permitted in the classroom; distraction to the class when they are constantly falling on the floor, not to mention the mess they cause.

**REMINDER.....All students are required to have a chapter book each day for daily silent reading.....comic books are not permitted.

** Every Friday, students are required to take home their Math hard and workbooks.

** 4th grade as a whole, is still having difficulty with classroom rules....too much talking and not focusing on class work....we will continue to practice at recess!

** Parents if I have any comments on your child's day, you will find it at the botton of his/her assignment (homework) book, requesting your initials indicating you saw it.  Likewise, if there is something you want me to know, you can also write a note, but it is your child's responsibility to give it to me.
