Mr. Jackson Sixth Grade November 16 - 20, 2009 Thanks to everyone who bought books from the book fair for our classroom library. I greatly appreciate it, and they will definitely be used. Bible: Our memory for this week is Psalm 107:1 Spelling: List 14 words;Test on Friday Poetry: The students should be working on memorizing the poem, "The Land of Beginning Again" on page 104. Arithmetic: Homework Monday: Lesson 63, Page 368 Tuesday: Lesson 65, Page 368 Thursday: Lesson 66, page 369 & study for a quiz on Friday Language: Homework We will begin Unit 6 on Monday. We will begin working on a research paper. The students need to have a topic chosen by Wednesday. History: We will try to cover pages 119-136.Science: We will begin Chapter 7 on Monday. We plan to cover pages 76-85 this week. Reading: We will finish reading the book, Best School Year Ever on Tuesday and we will have a test on the book on Wednesday. We will read the stories in the book on pages 60-78 on Thursday and Friday. Our next vocabulary quiz will be next Tuesday. The students should be working on a book report. DATES TO REMEMBER: November 20 Progress Reports go home November 24 Book Reports are due; Parent/Teacher Conferences--School will dismiss at 1:00. November 25-29 Thanksgiving Break
