- Spelling
Practice your words at spellingcity.com This week's words are active on the site. Your student will know on Monday which group they are in--blue, green, orange, or red. To find their list at Spelling City, click search for a list and then search by user name. My user name on the site is brownc. The spelling test will be on Friday. Your student will only be responsible for knowing those words that they miss on their pre-spelling test on Monday.
Math
The math fluency test will be on Wednesday. New fluency sheets will go home on Thursday.
Please make sure that you are signing the fluency calendar each night. Only one signature is required over the weekend. Also, if you miss a night, it can be made up anytime before Wednesday morning. Each signature counts as 25 points for the weekly homework grade.
Reading
Book tests will be on Tuesday. New reading books will go home on Wednesday. Students are graded on both on how well they read the book (fluency), but also on how will they know the book (comprehension). Ask your student questions about what he or she is reading.
- There will be a separate fluency calendar in your student's homework folder for these. Once again, four signatures are required.
