SCIENCE ESSAYS:

#8 Nick wants to determine (find out) if corn syrup is miscible with water.  How can he test this AND what should he look for in his results?

#11 Rachel is trying to identifu an unknown substance in her lab.  Her lab is supplied with a triple balance beam, weigh dishes, acetic acid, water, and beakers. She wants to observe the compounds chemical properties in her analysis.  Describe a process that would allow her to do this.

#17 John is working in a laboratory equipped with a triple balance beam, a 100 ml grad. cylinder, metric ruler, glass stir rod, sugar cubes, flour, and a sink. WRITE OUT the procedures that John would follow if he wanted to test the solubility of a sugar cube in 100 ml of water. (Hint: not all items need to be used.)
