December ----a merry and festive month!

Hello, Parents,

Happy holidays! It's December, which means there's lots of seasonal festivity and fun in the great world of pre-kindergarten!

This month will be a very exciting time for your child. During the first week, we will study about nursery rhymes and fairy tales. During the next two weeks, we will learn about Christmas: ornaments, Christmas trees, reindeer, and customs and traditions of winter holidays. Your child will bring home decorations for you to hang on your tree at home. Also, we will be discussing the weather and how it affects daily life. You can ontinue your child's learning fun at home by:

• oberving and discussing the weather with yourchild
• sharing with your child holiday traditions that are special to your family
• helping your child to make holiday decorations
• reading holiday books with your child

Pre-K will have a Christmas performance on Friday, December 19 at 10:00 AM in the Old MCES Cafeteria. Our students will present a special program for the parents. Light refreshments will be served. Please plan to attend this very special event.

Mrs. Grant has been transfered to the Special Education department. Mrs. Sue O'Neal replaced Mrs. Grant. Please try to come by the classroom for you to get to know her. She worked in pre-k several years ago under Mrs. Laurie Harn. You will like her.
