We're Halfway There! Welcome to the 3rd quarter! January 26 through April 6 Supplies: Folder with brads, wide rule notebook paper, colored pencils, and pencils. All work must be done in pencil to receive credit. Flash drives are optional and can be used when working on research and projects, but will not be used every day. Please replenish your supplies of notebook paper and pencils. I have added a link at the bottom of the page that you can download. It is a Jeopardy game for the East Asia test. It is not self checking, but you should be able to answer all of the questions. Also, the Quiz Show game is available in my room and Mrs. Snell's room before school. You will need a pass in your agenda to get into the school, but you are welcome to come and play/study. February 2-3: Complete Historic Traditions questions and review. Quiz on Historic Traditions. Read People and Culture (p. 222-226) and take notes, using 3 column strategy. Complete GR for section. East Asia test will be on February 8-9. It will include East Asia's Physical Geography (CH 6) and East Asia's Culture and History (Ch 9). The map of East Asia will also be on the test. January 29-February1: Reading a Map (Trade During Ming Dynasty and China's Economy) and Reading Comprehension for Historic Traditions-we will complete questions next class. January 27-28: Review Concept map and climate chart worksheet, make corrections on Resources pop quiz.HW: Chinese Dynasty 8-square chart January 22-26: East Asia Resources Pop Quiz, from pages 156-160. Read about East Asia's Historic Traditions (214-219). Complete a concept map on the major achievements of East Asia. HW: Reading a Climate Chart Worksheet. Analogies will be extra credit. Due next class period. |
