Thanks  to all students who worked hard on their  SEEDFOLKS projects.  I enjoyed watching all presentations and seeing what my students are capable of!
My AIG cluster classes have started the pre-assessments for reading and writing in the new Persuasion pilot program.  This week, we fill finish the pre-assessments and begin both the lessons in the program and the reading involved.  The first book that students will be required to read will be the Asian-American book.

Regular education classes have read "The Scholarship Jacket" and will read a play entitled "Cesar Chavez" this week.  We will also begin a study of persuasive writing.  Students will practice their persuasive skills!

The writing test is in the process of changing.  This year, the test will be given online in January.  Teachers are training for the test now.

We continue to have vocabulary lessons in our Word Skills books.  Please help/encourage your child to study these words each night!

We will dismiss at 1:30 on November 25, in order for students, families, and staff to attend the South Rowan Christmas Parade.

Each teacher on the Cadillac team can use candy donations.  Candy should be individually wrapped.  No gum or chocolate, please!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Thanksgiving Quotes:                         cornucopia

Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as the lips, and shows itself in deeds.
                                                              - Theodore Roosevelt

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter  words, but to live by them.
                                                                     -John F. Kennedy
