Welcome to Mr. Lindemann's Art Page

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 4th quarter (2010-2011). The materials listed below are each student's personal supplies (for home and school) Supplies we use 2-#2 pencils everyday* 1- PRANG watercolor paint set * 1-school scissors (blunt) 1-12inch ruler* 1-set colored markers* 1-set colored pencils* 1-16 pack crayons and a container (plastic tote or zippered bag) to put in their book bag. The district has provided all of these items for your child, but it is better to have their own materials for their exploration of Art .

As you all know, I will be splitting my school year. First Semester at Ewing and Second Semester at Granard. I hope this is a temporary adjustment, and will be back for a full year of Art  next year. Thank you for your patience and understanding

Art is a vital part of your child's education. I spend a part of each Summer taking courses to help me become a better teacher. I take these classes to update my teaching skills, and to learn the most current techniques. I  also refurbished a 90 foot mural at the CHAPS Museum, and helped build the exhibits for the history museum which is now open to the public. I will teach another watercolor workshop at CHAPS, and put more artwork in the CAVA Gallery where I am the President. I also teach classes at CAVA, and you can find our schedule in the papers, and on-line. From April 9th - May 29th "New Harmonies" from the Smithsonian Institute will be on display at the CAVA Gallery and City Visitors Center.

We work on our Standardised Test Materials whenever we finish our Artwork. Creativity is the top of Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning, and for 37 years I have found ways to best use the right side of the brain. New studies show this can improve overall thinking, and may help generate better test scores.

We have the very first Student Gallery on www.knowitall.org  1.)Go to the Website 2.)Go to Artopia 3.) Go to  Sculpture 4.) Go to the gallery

I am eager to continue an  artistic experience for each student. We will explore as many media as time and money permit. I will also explore Art History and have lessons that explore great Art from the past. I look forward to meeting each parent and discussing your child's progress in Art. Feel free to call on me anytime at 489-6833.

Thanks for your time, and support,

Noah Lindemann (Art Teacher) Granard Middle School
