FIRST GRADE NEWS

Dear Parents, 

                                         Please save the date of November 25^th.  This will be our First Grade version of the Thanksgiving Feast.  Please arrive at 2:50, the students will  present a program beginning promptly at 2:55, and then we’ll have a chance to thankfully enjoy a “feast” together.  (Have you ever wondered what your children are really thankful for?)  You won’t want to miss this!

FIRST GRADE FACTS

1. Our offering for November 19^th chapel for NDSM (North Dallas Shared Ministry) will be boxed entrees. 
2. Second quarter mid-term progress reports will be sent home on November 17^th.  Please sign and return.
3. Please remember that the 2 Bible verses are also memory homework for the week.  We do say them in class as we do our religion lessons, but they need to be memorized.
4. As you know, the most important part of our first grade curriculum is Reading and Writing.  This importance is emphasized with specific reading homework four nights a week.  If the homework is not done , there is time for this to be done at recess.  Thank you for making this a top priority for your child.  The rewards of this diligence are becoming more apparent each week!
