Week of September 21st

Language Arts

Reading:  This week we will be reading and discussing "Beauty and the Beast".  Our comprehension skill is Making Predictions.  Since most of the class already knows the events that occur in the story, we are focusing on finding clues from the story that support these events/predictions.

Writing:  As the class is focusing in on one specific topic, we are working on adding details to support the topic.

Math

We are using addition strategies to complete magic square puzzles and practicing a variety of subtraction strategies.

Continue practicing basic facts at home!
