Hello!  Welcome to my School Notes page!

Parents:  Please read the next paragraph carefully and share with your child:

PE at Belle Heth is designed to be fun while learning new games and activities to be physically active and healthy. Please help us to do this by reminding your child to be safe in PE class by following class rules and dressing appropriately (no skirts or overly baggy clothes) and wearing tennis shoes each day. Dressing for PE class is also part of your child's nightly homework.  The six weeks grade will be affected if a student does not have his/her tennis shoes for PE class.  (Please remind your child that tennis shoes must have rubber non-marking soles with traction on the bottom, and must be snug to the foot.  Your child's shoe should not come off while playing.)  I would prefer that students wear tennis shoes, but if they choose to wear "skateboarding" shoes, they will need to be tied snugly for class...ugg style boots are not acceptable for PE activities.

FOR SAFETY REASONS: Please do not allow your child to wear boots or shoes with heels to school.

Here is some info about fitness testing, which will take place once in the fall (October) and again in the spring (April/May).  Some students hear the word "testing" and get nervous.  Fitness Testing is NOT done for a grade!  Fitness Testing is done to determine how each student compares in his/her personal fitness to the national average.  Most students are able to pass these fitness tests if they give their best effort!

The tests we will be doing are:  the PACER, curl ups, push ups, trunk lift and sit & reach.  Ask your child how he/she is practicing for these tests and encourage him/her to do the absolute BEST THAT HE/SHE CAN.

If you're unsure of when your child has PE with me, please check the list below!
