Chemistry I
The Chemistry I course is designed to introduce the student to structure, chemical and physical properties, and chemical change. More specifically, the student will cover unit conversions and measurements, properties of matter, bonding, atomic theory, periodic trends, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, gas laws and solutions. The student will also be introduced to topics in thermochemistry and acid-base chemistry. The objectives of this course will be met through lectures, practice problems, and various lab and classroom activities. This course will be divided into 11 units. Each unit will take approximately one to two weeks to cover.
