It's been an exciting time at Southridge! The students visited Briarwood for their outdoor school and seemed to have an enjoyable time, even with the rain!

As we near the Holiday break, please be sure your students receive plenty of rest and wash their hands often to avoid any illness. It's extremely important that they are with us next week to present their Social Studies news casts on the American Revolution. Their group is depending on them!

In math we'll be reviewing equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions and continuing our problem solving strategies with word problems. Please continue to work with your child each night on their multiplication facts. The students and I have talked about this as part of their homework, so they know what to do. If you don't have flashcards at home you can find them at WalMart for $.97 or let me know and I can even try to find some hand made cards that you can make.

Progress reports went out Thursday 12/11. Note that this is only where your child stands after the first three weeks of this grading period. I'll need you to sign the report and return it to school. If some grades have dropped please be sure your child speaks to the appropriate teacher for that specific subject and see if perhaps there's a missing assignment.
