Ad Astra Per Aspera!
"To the stars through hard work!"

Notate Bene ("Note well" in Latin): All students are given time in class to work on all assignments. They should have very little to do at home to finish if they work diligently in class. Please sign your child's homework assignment page every night after all the assignments are completed.

There are sign and return papers coming home. Parents must sign DLR, DM, and Cursive Handouts. (Your child knows what they are.) Thank you!

Math: Study guide. Saxon 68, even. Unit 6 Math Test is rescheduled for Wednesday, 2/15.y. Some students are falling seriously behind because they have not yet mastered the basic 0-9 multiplication facts. Please practice 0-12 multiplication and division facts.

Language Arts: Review Spoon... Ch. 4-5.  Quiz tomorrow.

Spelling: Pretest and write misspelled words 3 times.

Vocab: Play Vocab Sort Game. Discover 5 new EDs. Complete all boxes on poster.

Reading: Read Ch. 4-5.Quiz tomorrow. Read for 20 minutes. During the school year, please read and discuss good books with your child every night for at least twenty minutes. This investment in time and energy with your child will pay huge dividends in many ways.

Poetry: Memorize "Rebecca..." Remember to recite every poem every night. We will begin reciting on Thursday.

Social Studies: Finish rewriting mission report and make sure it is neat. Combine sentences with your because, who/which and www.asia clauses. Read to your folks. We have started the mission report. Most of it will be done in class. If students use their time wisely and effectively in class, there will be very little to accomplish at home.

Science: None.

Writing: None.

Thanks,

Mr. Guy
