November 16-20

HOMEWORK:

Students are required to read 100 minutes by Friday.  The minutes should be marked in their planner or on a sheet of paper.  Parents should initial it sometime during the week, and I will check for the minutes and initials on Friday.

Study for vocabulary test on Thursday.

Study for spelling test on Friday. 

Students were given a short  passage called "George Washington's Teeth."  The students are to practice reading it with expression, and they will read it for me on Wednesday.

IMPORTANT DATES:

The fifth graders had their field trip to Brookhaven last week.  The people from Brookhaven commented to me SEVERAL times about how well-behaved our students were.  They said that they were the BEST class they've ever had visit!  They also commented on how awesome it was for the parents to come too.  They had never had parents come before!  THANK YOU for all you do to help our kids shine as the BEST of the BEST!

Picture retakes are on November 19th.

The "Turkey Trot" is on November 18th during their specials time.  (9:00)

There will be no school the week of November 23-27.  Classes resume on November 30th.
