The end of the second quarter is 1/20/2010. Report cards will be coming home on 2/2/2010. We will begin Power Hour on January 25. Power Hour is to help each student in an area they are struggling in. They will be working in small groups and will be completing hands-on-activities to help them better understand the area they are struggling in. ::Reading:: We are working on a variety of reading comprehension skills and strategies. We are also beginning to use UNRAAVEL to help us better understand reading comprehension passages. ::Math:: We have finished fractions and are moving to our geometry and measurement unit. ::Science:: We have finally finished our landform unit and will begin to discuss forces and motion as well as simple machines.
::Reminders:: *Please be sure to sign your child's reading log and agenda each night. *Please be sure your child is completing his or her homework each night. *We eat lunch at 11:40 and would love for you to join us.
