Bible Memory Verse:
STUDENTS MUST KNOW ALL THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE BY FRIDAY.
Reminder:
Instead of going to the apple/pumpkin orchard we will be going to Sloan Museum to participate in activities related to Michigan history. We will leave at 8:30am and return to the school by 1:00pm. We will be eating sack lunches at the museum.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
If your child is required to sit in a booster seat (according to state guidelines) then they will not be allowed to go on the trip without the booster seat (regardless if you drive them to the Museum).

Rules and Procedures
For 3rd and 4th Grade
Being Prepared for Class:
Students need to be prepared for class.
All students should:
Bring a backpack everyday!
Leave a pair of gym shoes at the school
Have a spare pencil
Study for quizzes and tests
Bring a sweater or coat to school (Unless it is
raining or it is extremely cold, we usually go outside for recess
and students will be expected to dress properly for the weather.)
Homework:
I expect homework to be turned in on time.
Late Work:
Work is considered late when it is not turned in by the morning (8:00am) of the due date. Under normal circumstances, students will lose points if they turn in late work.
One -Two Days Late = 1/4 of the points taken away
Three Four Days Late= 1/2 of the points taken away
Five Days Late = 3/4 of the points taken away
Six or more Days Late = all points taken away
Grades:
For all classes the final grades are composed of:
Participation: 10% of final grade
Class Work: 20% of final grade
Homework: 15% of final grade
Quizzes: 25% of final grade
Tests: 30% of final grade
If for some reason there is a change in the grading scale I will notify you.
Missing Assignments:
Students are encouraged to use a planner or notebook to keep track of assignments. When I notice a trend of missing assignments, I will make the student and parent aware of the situation. BEWARE! Missing assignments are graded like late work!!! The only exception to this rule is if a student was absent and was not informed of the assignments given during his/her absence.
Absent Work:
Students will be given the time to make-up work. If they were absent 3 days they will be given 3 days to turn in their work before it is counted as late work.
If a parent or sibling would like to collect the work for the sick/injured student, I would prefer if I were notified in the morning. If I am notified in the morning it will give me enough time to collect the work and send it to the office by late afternoon.
Parent Volunteers:
Parent volunteers are wonderful!!
Special Occasions:
There are several times throughout the year I may need parent volunteers to help out in my class (parties, large science experiments, school related activities, etc.). I will notify parents about upcoming volunteer opportunities through schoolnotes.com.
Schoolnotes.com:
Schoolnotes.com will be updated weekly. The following items will be on schoolnotes.com:
