Welcome to Mrs.Barbee's Class

Dear Parents,

I am excited to be working with your child this year.  Make sure to check agendas daily. Reading with your child daily is critical for success this year.  If you need to be in contact with me, feel free to do so through note or call the school (704-639-3038).

Students will be receiving a math homework sheet on Monday nights.  The students will return this sheet to class on Thursdays.  Also, Tuesday nights will be write a story night.  The story will need to be at least 3 - 5 sentences and include a picture that matches the sentences.  Also, I will be looking that sentences start with capitol letters and end with periods.  Please put space between words.

***Spelling test now include the 5 words that come home in the agenda plus 5 words that works with the sound we did for the week

***This week's sound will be /th/ (soft)

Homework for the week: Feb. 13 - 17

Monday:  -- write 5 sentences -- read

Tuesday:  write a story about "going to the mall"- read 

Wednesday: be sure math is done -   read

Thursday: put words in ABC order--read

Friday:    Spelling test
