Porter's ESOL News October 2008 We are having lots of Fall fun in our ESOL classes. First graders are reviewing and learning new words, learning blends, learning to write and sound out unknown words, recognizing story elements and reading lots of Fall books and completing Fall activities. Second graders are writing stories and learning to edit, while also reviewing decoding strategies, story elements, and details and main idea.
