Important Dates February 2-Report cards issued February 11-Honor Assembly February 15-Flood Make-up Day February 17-Class Pictures February 18-Class Trip to Meroney Theater Welcome to Fourth Grade! Our PE Day is Monday and students must wear tennis shoes. Our lunch is at 12:15. We would love to have you join us. Please note that to ensure safety and sanitation, all foods served to students in school must be obtained from a commercial food service entity. Students will have homework most nights. It is the student's responsibility to copy all assignments. Please initial the assignment book each night after you have seen the completed assignment. Student assignment books will be checked to make sure that they are initialed by a parent. If an assignment book is not signed two nights in a row, the student will have silent lunch. Writing Workshop will begin the first week of school. Students will write daily from self-selected topics. Most writing assignments will not come home, but you may review your student's writing folder. Students should bring their AR Folder home each night. They can only return unread books twice during the nine weeks. Students should read at least 30 minutes each night. Students have a log to keep of books read at home. They can read to you, they can read silently, parents can read, or you can share read. All of these are excellent ways to help your student achieve their goal. Folders will be sent home on Thursday. There will be a grade sheet inside the folder. Please review the papers, sign and return as soon as possible. We will again collect box tops and soup labels. Please get in the habit of saving these if you are not already doing so. Spelling Tests are on Friday. The test will consist of high frequency words as well as reading vocabulary words. The reading vocabulary words will be in the Reading Practice Book and students will add the high frequency words to this list. We are in need of Lysol Wipes. If you could donate some, they would be greatly appreciated. Just a reminder-Students must be fever free for 24 hours before they can return to school. Thank you so much for sharing your student with me. DISCLAIMER: Linked sites are not under the control of the school district or its employees.
