Welcome to 2nd Grade!!!

Each student has a STAR notebook to help them stay organized this year. Please check your child's STAR notebook each night. Students will write down their homework in their agendas each day. Homework is due the next day.

Reading logs have started. Logs will be kept in a section of the STAR notebook. It needs to be filled out and signed weekly. It will be sent home on Monday and be due the next Monday. This is a part of each student's homework and reading grade.

We will have a list of spelling words to study each week. Please study your words each night. We will have our spelling tests on Fridays. There is a section in the STAR notebook for spelling. We will also write them in our agendas each week. Our spelling words will consist of a skill that we are working on that week and high frequency words.

2 strips - Time out

3 strips - Loss of privilege and parent contact

4 strips - Pass to alternative location

5 strips - Referral to an administrator

***Severe behavior will immediately go to the principal.
