Welcome to the OLPH Library page! I look forward to another wonderful year of reading and researching in the Library.

Library classes include both returning and checking out new books as well as learning and practicing skills in research and reading.


Our school celebrated National Young Readers' Day on Wednesday, November 11.  What a wonderful celebration of literacy.  We had 21 guest readers in grades PreK through 8.  I would like to thank the parents from the HSA who provided the delicious refreshments.  A special thanks to Mrs. Tallick for photographing this special day. 

A special thank you to students and families who donated books for our book drive on Thursday, November 12.  We collected over 400 books to help the library at the Bethlehem Christian School in Cherryville!  Great job!

Monday, 11/16/09 - Study for a vocabulary test on words from River Rescue through Of Wolves and Men.

Tuesday, 11/17/09 - Read and critique Only One Woof  from the Starwalk text.

Wednesday, 11/18/09 - Complete Skills pp. 56-58.  Work on Unit 7 in the Vocabulary Workshop workbook.  Write answers in your journal.

Thursday, 11/19/09 - Read and critique Helping Hands in the Starwalk text.
 
Friday, 11/20/09 - Complete Skills pages 62, 63, and 66.  Finish blog entry if you did not complete it in class.
