Welcome Back!

Wow! How wonderful it is to be back! Hope your summer was full of wonderful experiences and memorable time with family. Sadly, EEMS was not granted funds for the Title I program for this school year; however, our local administration did allocate funds for our school to have a program similar to the format of Title I for our students. We now have Eastern Eagles SOAR! Through the cooperative efforts of Mrs. Jones and Mrs. St. Leger working with regular classroom teachers, this program will allow students Sensational Opportunities for Academic Readiness. Students will be provided activities to build readiness for academic success through small group or one on one instruction that focuses on basic concepts that build higher thinking skills for application of core subject knowledge. Instructional focus will strive to assist individual students to develop individualized work ethic that illustrates hard work, determination, consistency, and positive attitude towards self and learning. Through this program, students will be given opportunities that will enhance self-esteem, test taking strategies, and foundational reading skills to utilize across the curriculum.
