***WELCOME TO THE FOURTH GRADE SCHOOL NOTES PAGE*** . Dear Holy Martyrs Families, This is my final schoolnotes communication. I would like to thank all of you for your continued support and cooperation throughout this past school year. It has been a pleasure serving as the Holy Martyrs School fourth grade teacher for these past ten years. When I came here in August of 2000, my first thought was, "Sweet"! This place seemed too good to be true. I had never dreamed that I would work in a school with such polite, well-behaved children who actually liked their teachers. Nor had I imagined that these children would have parents who were as generous and trusting as the ones I've met at Holy Martyrs. When I began here I thought of our school as a workplace, but little did I know how you would all grow on me. I realized very quickly that this was more than just a job. This was a community built on faith, love, trust, and determination. You got me! Now, ten years later, our little community is disbanding. Yes, you may all remain in Oreland, but our center, the part that has connected us all, is gone. Some might call this fate, others destiny, still others call it a sign of the times. I cannot be that philosophical right now, maybe later. Right now I feel like the proverbial rug has been pulled out from under me. Time will heal me, and I will move on, but I will never forget you. The families of Holy Martyrs School have been a part of my life for ten years now. I love you all, and I will never forget what we had here. Many thanks for all that you have done for our school. May God bless all of you and keep you safe as you depart. With sincere appreciation and love, Mrs. Joan Gullotti |
