4th & 5th Grade Group II-- Language Unit #7: sounds of qu, z, y, and x. 5th Grade Group I-- Language Unit #8: short vowel o sound. 1st Grade-- Reading Fundations Program-- We are learning to tap out our sounds to decode unfamiliar words. We are also working on "scooping" our sentences as we read, in order to read more fluently. In math, we are learning our coins and their values. We are learning touchpoint money in order to count the total values of groups of coins. 2nd Grade-- Reading Fundations Program-- We are tapping our sounds to decode unfamiliar words, along with working on fluency. Main idea, details, sequencing events, and building vocabulary are comprehension skills on which we work on daily. We are also learning touchpoint money in order to count the total values of groups of coins. In writing, we are comparing sentences to questions.
