We are inching closer and closer to the end of the semester; there are only 18 days left until FINAL EXAMS for the first semester! With that in mind I ask that you really make a push to stay on top of assignments.

Graduation Project
The successful completion of the Graduation Project is required by the RSS Board of Education as an exit standard. The NC Graduation Project is a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary performance assessment completed over time. It provides students the opportunity to connect content knowledge, acquired skills, and work habits to real world situations and issues. The NC Graduation Project consists of four components: a research paper, a product, a portfolio, and an oral presentation, which culminate in a student's final year of high school.
In an effort to help students with the research portion of this requirement. the research paper is currently being completed in the English III classroom. Students will receive grades for several elements of the research paper, including the letter of intent, outline, note cards, rough draft, and final draft.
Please ask your student at this point if he or she has turned in all elements of the research paper.
